When Excitement Becomes Too Big to Hold
Sometimes excitement fills a child's whole body. They run, jump, laugh, talk loudly or move from one experience to another, eager to explore everything around them.
What we sometimes describe as being overexcited may simply be a child experiencing a feeling that is bigger than their ability to manage it in that moment.
Excited's story invites us to look beyond the movement and noise and consider what the child might be experiencing. Rather than asking children to stop being excited, perhaps we can help them discover ways to express that excitement safely.
